Room_209
A downloadable game
Attempt at a philosophical video game, where the user is asked to take on the role of a student for 5 days. The experience aims to highlight mechanisms and behaviors that modern technologies accentuate, investigates the power of the peremptoriness of a list of actions presented as the UI of a gamification app. Through an iterative process of the experience, it will be suggested to change one's approach, a race against time to complete all the tasks by activating the autopilot becomes an increasingly careful and conscious analysis of one's choices that translate into which actions to perform or not and how one chooses to interact with the environment. Specifically, the user who has completed all the tasks will be asked why he decided to perform very extravagant actions such as putting a packet of pasta in the shower, suggesting that he think about the actions he decides to buy and open up to the possibility of performing a selection of them. The game will then try to make the player aware that his possible actions are not limited to those in the task list but that there are actions that can be performed even if they are not in the list.
